Shabby chic designs just make me happy. The weathered, slightly worn look is so inviting. Don’t you agree? Before I share my card with you, I would like to thank Zsuzsánna Balázs, a sister demonstrator from Austria, for her inspiration. Zsuzsánna shared a card she designed with the In the Moment stamp set that influenced my card.
Below is the card that I shared with my Stamp Club last weekend. It features the versatile and fun In the Moment stamp set. We all enjoyed making shabby chic cards and truly getting our hands inky in the process 🙂
The picture below gives you a great perspective of the layers of paper that have been distressed for the focal point. One of the things I really love about shabby chic cards is that each one is different.
It’s very easy to change the sentiment and make the card for different occasions. I needed some birthday cards and used one of the sentiments from the Flowing Flowers stamp set for the card pictured on the right below.
If you would like to learn how to make this type of shabby chic card, please take a look at the video linked below. Paper dimensions, full instructions, and tips and tricks are included.
The main products that I used to create my card are shown below. If you click on any picture, you’ll go directly to my online store.
Inky hugs,
Laurie
