Tea Together – Mother’s Day Card

Welcome to the April NC Demos Blog Hop!  This month, we are celebrating Spring holidays and occasions.  If you just came from Jo Anne Hewins’ post, I’m sure you’ll agree with me that she is a super talented artist!  Thank you so much for stopping by to see my project for this month.

As many of us, I am truly blessed to have the most wonderful mother in the world!  Mother’s Day is very special to me since it is a time to celebrate her.  This  year on Mother’s Day, my mom will be traveling to Houston to celebrate one of her grandson’s college graduation.  That means, that she and I will be celebrating Mother’s Day next weekend.  We are going out to tea, which has become a wonderful tradition that we both enjoy.  It is such a relaxing, pampered time to simply spend quality time together.

The Mother’s Day card that I am sharing in this month’s blog hop was inspired by my mom.  It is a simple, yet elegant, card that reminds me of having tea with her.

The sentiments inside truly describe my mother perfectly.  The stamped sentiments can be found in the Strong & Beautiful stamp set in the Occasions catalog.

I started to write out the instructions to make the front of the card.  Then, I decided that a video would be a lot more straight forward.  Click below to see the step-by-step instructions for the card front.

I hope you agree that the design is very easy to put together, especially with the Stamparatus.  Please CASE this design for cards for many occasions.

The card is also very elegant with just the stamped images.  Below is a picture of a different version of the card next to a tea set that was gift from our neighbors when we moved from Maidenhead, England.  My mom recently gave me the tea set which is now proudly displayed in our home.

Be sure to hop on over to Frances Wagner’s post.  She always has a great project to share!  All of this month’s NC Demos Blog Hoppers are shown below.  We hope you enjoy our projects.

Also pictured below are the main products that I used to create my Mother’s Day card.  If you click on any picture, you’ll go directly to my on-line store.

Happy stamping!
