Do you remember years ago decoupaging by tearing paper, adding the pieces to a solid surface, and finishing your project by adding Mod Podge?!? That’s what I think about first when I hear the work decoupage. We are not going to be doing that with this decoupage technique for card making. Essentially, we’re going to take an image and add pieces of the same image as a second layer with color and dimension. Take a look at this close-up picture of the decoupage element of my card.
The rest of the card is easy (and fun!) to put together. It features my new favorite set of dies – the Everyday Details Dies! They are amazing and super fun to use to add some stitching to the project.
Here is a picture of the finished card that I’m sharing today –
And, here is a PDF with a supplies list and step-by-step instructions for you to follow to make the card – Thoughtful Expressions Decoupage Card – Stamped Greetings
If you would like to add any of the products that I used to make the card, simply head over to my online store. Please note that the Thoughtful Expressions Dies are no longer available. But, the good news is that you can very easily fussy cut the stamped flower images.
Inky hugs,
Laurie
