CASE then Create Your Own Design!

Stampers are incredibly generous people!  You can find inspiration for so many techniques, designs, and ideas for making cards and other handmade paper items.  I love looking at the examples that stampers share and, then, use their designs to influence my own unique spin.

Recently, I participated in an NC Demos Blog Hop that featured retiring and returning products.  One of the projects that was shared by Tina Lesson caught my attention with its simple, slanted design.  Tina was inspired by Jaimie Babarczy’s original project.  See how this works!?!  Stampers share their ideas and influence other people to make cards!

Below is the card I made after CASEing the design.  I used the measurements that Jaimie highlights in her video, linked in her post.  [If you’re not familiar with the term, CASE, it means Copy And Share Everything!]

Then, I decided that I wanted to figure out how to use the basic design of this card and remake it using Designer Series Paper (DSP).  I chose the gorgeous Masterfully Made DSP as the base for my card.  The result of my reworking the design is shown below.  I really like how the card turned out and hope you do as well.  By the way, the Masterfully Made DSP will be retiring!  You may want to grab a package (or two) of this paper.  It is simply stunning!

To see the step-by-step instructions to make both cards – the original design and my DSP version – please click on the video linked below.  This video was recorded during a recent meeting of our Stamp Club!

The main products that I used to make both cards are shown below.  Simply click on any picture, and you’ll go directly to my online store.  Remember – the Masterfully Made DSP is retiring.  It will be available (at a discount) while supplies last (or through April 30).  The sale begins on Tuesday, April 9.

Inky hugs,
Laurie
