One-Sheet Wonder Project – Seven Cards!

I remember the first time I heard the term “one-sheet wonder” and honestly didn’t have a clue about what it meant.  If you’re unfamiliar with the term – essentially, you take one sheet of paper, stamp it, and then cut it to make card fronts for multiple cards.  There are many different ways to create and use a “one-sheet wonder”.  This version is definitely my favorite.

The pictures below are meant to show the progression of stamping one sheet of cardstock and turning the sheet into fronts for seven cards!  (By the way, I used the gorgeous Artistically Inked stamp set to create the design.  And, I’ll have the ink colors pictured at the end of this post.)  The first picture shows the final stamped piece.  The second picture shows the seven cards assembled before they have sentiments and bling.  The third picture has the final seven cards.

After the pictures, I have a link to a video that will take you step-by-step through the project.  There are also a few templates that will help you with guides for your cutting.

Below is a link to a video that will show you step-by-step how to make this “one-sheet wonder” project for yourself.  Please note that I use the Dainty Delight stamp set in the video.  My intention is to show you how to create a “one-sheet wonder” project with stamps that have a specific direction and not a random pattern like the cards above.

The template that I used in the video is linked below.  I hope you find this to be a useful reference.

And, here is a good visual that you may want to use when you’re cutting the black cardstock to frame your card fronts.  Note that you will have some extra pieces after you’ve cut your paper.  Save the extra pieces.  They may come in handy when you’re putting your sentiments together.

I really hope you give this technique a try.  It’s so much fun to create a collection of cards from your hand-stamped created piece of “DSP”!

Below are the main products that I used to create my “one-sheet wonders”.  There are two groups of products.  The first group shows the products used in the pictures above.  The second group shows the products in the video.  If you click on any picture, you’ll go directly to my online store.

Inky hugs,
Laurie
