Love Blossoms Candy Bar Holder

When you first saw the products in the Love Blossoms suite (Occasions catalog, pages 16 and 17), I bet you instantly thought of Valentine’s Day!  And, yes, this suite of products is perfect for making special Valentine’s Day cards and projects.

But, there are many more ways to use Love Blossoms.  Here is an idea that is perfect for a quick party favor or just a nice treat for someone special.  Instructions for the project are included below.  [Trust me – There really was a dark chocolate candy bar tucked into the holder.  Since I am a true chocoholic, the candy bar didn’t last long enough to make it into the picture!]

Quick Candy Holder

Love Blossoms Candy Bar Holder

  1.  This project features  the Love Blossoms Suite from pages 16 and 17 of the Occasions Catalog is featured.
  2.  Pick a sheet from the Love Blossoms DSP Paper Stack.
  3.  Using the envelope punch board (Annual Catalog, pg 150), punch and score as follows:
    * Side A – 2 ½”
    * Side B – 3 ½”
    * Side C – 2 ½”
    * Side D – 3 ½”
  4.  Fold as shown, leaving a small flap open at the top.
  5.  Use the flower heart die from the Bloomin’ Love stamp set to decorate the holder. The example was heat embossed with gold embossing powder.
  6.  The banner stamp from the Bloomin’ Love stamp set is stamped with Blushing Bride. Choose your sentiment from the same stamp set and use Rose Red to stamp on the banner. Fussy cut the banner and adhere with dimensionals.
  7.  Finish the holder with a ribbon of your choice.
  8.  Don’t forget the candy bar – obviously not in the pictured example.  This is a great, quick way to dress-up a candy gift.

Enjoy!
