Last night, I wrote out quite a few of the Christmas cards that my husband (Bruce) and I will be sending to friends and family this year. And, as usual, I need to make a few more cards 🙂 I’m going to go out on a limb and believe that some of you are probably in the same situation that I’m in. Well, here’s a great, quick card that will help you make some last minute Christmas cards.
The Tags and Tidings bundle in the Holiday Catalog is one that I overlooked the first few times I went through the catalog. Thankfully, I finally saw the bundle and was intrigued by the single stamp and single die that were pictured.
Above is a quick card that I made with the bundle. The instructions are very straight forward, and the result is a fun, colorful card that you’ll be proud to send to family and friends.
- Start with a card base using Call Me Clover card stock. The base is cut to 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″ on the 8 1/2″ side.
- Use Versamark ink and your Stamparatus to stamp the entire Tags & Tidings stamp onto the front of the card base. All the images shown above come from one stamp! How fun is that!?
- Grab some pieces of your favorite holiday DSP (scraps work well here), and use Memento black ink to stamp the Tags & Tidings stamp onto the DSP.
- Use the Christmas Tags Thinlits Die to cut out the stamped images from the DSP. Yes – this single die cuts out all the shapes with one pass through your Big Shot. Again – How fun is that!?
- Use your favorite metallic thread or ribbon to decorate the die cut images that you’ll adhere to your card.
- Make sure that you use dimensionals to pop-up at least one die cut image to give your card some depth.
- That’s it! You’ll have your Christmas cards made in no time!
Shown below are the main products that I used to create the Tags & Tidings card. Click on any picture, and you’ll go directly to my on-line store.
Happy stamping! And, happy Christmas card making.
