Let It Snow – Snowman Season Card

Every year, I vow that I will start making Christmas cards early!  Do you do the same thing?  I hope you’re much more successful than I am.  Well, this year, I’m really going to do it 🙂

This is going to be one of the cards that my husband, Bruce, and I will send this year.  It is fun, cheerful, and really quick to make!  Take a look below –

Here are the basic instructions for you to follow to make this card (or something similar) –

  • Start with a card base using Thick Whisper White card stockThis is my absolute go-to when it comes to cards.  Cut the card stock to 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″ on the 8 1/2″ side to get an A2 base.
  • Grab your Stamparatus (the best stamp positioning tool on the market!) and stamp “Merry Christmas” from the Snowman Season stamp set on the bottom right corner of the card, as pictured.  Use Memento Black ink to stamp the sentiment.
  • Next, get a scrap piece of Whisper White card stock to stamp the snowman from the Snowman Season stamp set.  Again, use Memento Black ink to stamp the image.
  • Get your favorite Stampin’ Write Markers to color the snowman image.  Have some fun playing with different color combinations.
  • Use the second largest circle die from the Stitched Shapes die collection to cut out the finished snowman image.
  • Use the largest circle die from the Stitched Shapes die collection to cut a piece of Basic Black card stock for the frame piece.
  • Adhere the two circle die pieces together, as pictured.
  • Use the multi-snowflake stamp from the Snowman Season stamp set to add some background to your card.  Use the gorgeous Gray Granite ink for the multi-snowflake images.
  • Die cut some snowflakes with the dies from the Seasonal Layers die collection.
  • Put a thin layer of your favorite adhesive over the die cut snowflakes and adhere the gorgeous Ice Stampin’ Glitter to each snowflake.  Multipurpose Liquid Glue works really well for this!
  • Use glue dots or your favorite adhesive to attach the decorated snowflakes to the card.

I would love to see the cards you make using this design.  Below you’ll find pictures of the main products that I used to make this card.  If you click on any picture, you’ll go directly to my on-line store.

Now – Go start making your Christmas cards!!!

Happy stamping!
