Botanical Gardens – A Stunning Gatefold Card

Okay – here goes!  This is my first [real] posting on Stamped Greetings!

My focus is to use one stamp set (or suite of products) and share three designs with you.  I’m an avid stamper, but I’m also pretty frugal and love to be able to create different cards using the same tools.

If you’ve looked at the Stampin’ Up! Occasions catalog, you’ve probably the amazing Botanical Gardens product suite.  Let me show you a really stunning card that was made primarily using the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies.

Gate Fold

Here are the card dimensions and products that I used to create this card.

  1. The base is a piece of Hello Honey cardstock cut to 11” x 4 ¼”. To make the gate fold, score the 11” side at 2 ¾” and 9 ¼”.

2. Cut a piece of white cardstock to 4 ¼” x 4” to make the front panel. Note: The panel will purposely overlap the gate fold.

3. Stamp “Thank You” in Old Olive on the bottom right of the front panel using the Another Thank You stamp set (Annual Catalog, pg 15).

4. Use the multi-leaf die from the Botanical Builders Framelits Dies (Occasions Catalog, pg 26) to decorate the left side of the front panel.

5. Use the flower, leaves, and fern dies from the Botanical Builders Framelits Dies and corresponding cardstock in Hello Honey, Cajun Craze, Mossy Meadow, Mint Macaron, and black to decorate the front panel as you like. Adhere the finished panel to the left gate fold as shown.

6. Cut a piece of the Botanical Gardens Designer Series Paper (Occasions Catalog, pg 27) to 4 ¼ x 2 ¾. Adhere the piece to the right gate fold, as shown.

My next post (and additions to the blog) will include information on how you can get a set of the framelits for your collection.  Trust me – you will love them.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Please let me know your thoughts on the card.

Happy stamping!
