Rose Wonder – Wedding Card

Remember:  One stamp set – Three designs – Endless possibilities!

I’m really excited to share three different card designs using the Rose Wonder stamp set and the corresponding Rose Garden thinlits die collection.  What a fun combination of products from the Occasions Catalog!  The cards were featured at our recent Stamp Club.

Today, I’ll be sharing the wedding card pictured below.  I hope you agree that the design is elegantly simple and stunning.  I’ll share the other two cards in separate postings this week.

Rose Wonder - Wedding Card

Rose Wonder – Wedding Card

There are so many ways that you could use this design and make cards for other occasions – birthdays, sympathy, thinking of you, feel better soon – just to name a few.  Also, think about how you could customize the colors that you use to make your card.  The base of the card could be any color, and the color behind the words can be changed as well.  The possibilities are endless.

One of the subtle touches that I really like about this card is the black cardstock that is behind the white card front.  Notice that you only see the black cardstock on the sides of the white card front and not on the top and bottom.  That is intentional and gives a little pop to the design.  The rhinestone accents also add a little bling!

Here are the directions to make the card:

  1. The Rose Wonder stamp set from the Occasions Catalog is featured in this card.
  2. The base is a piece of Hello Honey cardstock cut to 11” x 4 ¼” and scored at 5 ½” on the 11” side.
  3. Cut a piece of white cardstock to 5 ¼” x 4” to make the front panel.  Note:  The piece will be cut down to 4” x 5” after stamping.
  4. On the front panel, stamp the large rose and leaves image from the Rose Wonder stamp set in Memento black in as shown.  Crop the front panel to 5” length by trimming 1/8” from each side.
  5. Adhere the front panel to a piece of black cardstock cut to 5 ¼” x 4.  Note:  The black border will be visible only on the sides of the front panel.
  6. Adhere the black cardstock to the card base using dimensionals.
  7. Using a piece of DSP from the Botanical Gardens collection (Occasions Catalog, pg 27), stamp the outline stamp and “Wedding Wishes” from the Rose Wonder stamp set in Memento Black ink.
  8. Cut the sentiment out using the corresponding die from the Rose Garden Thinlits Die collection.
  9. Adhere the sentiment to the card front and decorate as desired using Rhinestone Basic Jewels (Annual Catalog, pg 160).
