Perennial Lavender – Pleated DSP Card

This pleated Designer Series Paper (DSP) design is incredibly addictive.  I feel that I needed to warn you about that before you continue reading 🙂  Add a stunning DSP collection to the design, and let me tell you that you’re just going to love the cards!

First, I would like to thank Susan Campfield for her amazing talent and for sharing the video that you can find here.  She inspired me to try the pleated DSP design and to try a few additional ways to make the pleats.  Thank you, Susan!

I hope you have seen (and perhaps have in your stash) the gorgeous Perennial Lavender DSP.  It is truly breathtaking.  The entire Perennial Lavender Suite is chock full of wonderful products that include paper, dies, stamp sets, and pre-cut paper butterflies.  If you haven’t seen it yet, you really need to.  If you don’t have a demonstrator, I would love to be your demonstrator and send you a copy of the new mini catalog and Sale-A-Bration brochure.  Just leave a comment, and I’ll be in touch to get the details of how to get the catalog and brochure to you.

After I watched Susan’s video, I made the triple pleated version of the card.  Then, my mind started turning about other ways to make the card with different numbers and different sizes of pleats.  The cards that I made are pictured below.

Before you see the pictures and the score line instructions, take a look at a step-by-step video to make the three pleated card.  You’ll also get a sneak peek of the score line instructions that you’ll need for each of the three designs that I’ll share.

The first pleated card that I tried is the triple pleated version.  Take a look at the pictures below.  The score lines that you’ll need on the 4″ x 12″ DSP piece are 3″, 4″, 5″, 6″, 7″, 8″, and 9″.

The second pleated card that I tried is the double pleated version.  Take a look at the pictures below.  The score lines that you’ll need on the 4″ x 12″ DSP piece are 3″, 4 1/2″, 6″, 7 1/2″ and 9″.

Then, I decided to get a little crazy!  The next version has two pleats, but each pleat is a different size!  So fun!  Take a look at the pictures below.  The score lines that you’ll need on the 4″ x 12″ DSP piece are 3″, 4″, 5″, 7″, and 9″.

I would love to see the pleated DSP cards that I know you’re going to make!  Please share them!

Below are the main products that I used to create my cards.  If you would like to add any of these products to your stash, just click on the picture.  You’ll go directly to my online store.

Inky hugs,
LaurieÂ
